Designing the Reading Experience: A Complete Typographic Transformation
For my Typography I final project at SCAD Atlanta, I redesigned and produced a complete book using only typography, black and white, and simple shapes. This included creating a new cover, typesetting a chapter, binding the book by hand, and photographing the finished piece. What began as the most intimidating project of the quarter became the one I’m most proud of, blending research, design, and craftsmanship into a fully realized book.

We saw Villains: Unfairly Ever After show, rode Tower of Terror twice, and explored Galaxy’s Edge before ending the night with an unforgettable first look at Disney’s newest nighttime spectacular.
Museum Catalogue: Lucian Freud’s ‘Girl With a Kitten’
Lucian Freud’s 1947 painting Girl with a Kitten is a haunting, emotionally charged portrait of his first wife, Kitty Garman. With its muted palette and tightly cropped composition, the work reflects the psychological intensity that defined much of Freud’s art. The image of Kitty gripping a kitten (symbolically linked to herself) suggests themes of self-sabotage, inner turmoil, and emotional entrapment, revealing the complex layers of their fraught relationship and Freud’s deeply personal artistic process.
Becoming a Disney Adult: Introducing Micah to the Magic of Disney
Our trip kicked off with a day at Typhoon Lagoon, easing into vacation mode with the lazy river and wave pool. It was Micah’s first time at Disney, so we started strong with Magic Kingdom and later made plans for EPCOT. Experiencing it all through fresh eyes made us appreciate the parks even more.

Visual Analysis: Pedro Orrente’s ‘The Crucifixion’
Pedro Orrente’s The Crucifixion, on display at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, is a powerful example of 17th-century Spanish Baroque painting. Deeply influenced by Caravaggio’s dramatic realism and tenebrism, Orrente brings the biblical scene of Christ’s crucifixion to life with intense emotion, symbolic use of color, and striking contrasts. This oil on canvas composition invites viewers to witness not only the sorrow of the moment, but the spiritual weight and artistic mastery behind its creation.
